BALYAYOGA® METHOD

Yoga for children

My yoga for children path began in 2018 with THE BALYAYOGA® METHOD, it was a funny, educational, introspective journey that led me to rediscover my inner child, reconnecting me to her playfulness, her enthusiasm, her simplicity and joyful beauty.

How much fun I had and how many laughs during the group games!

The Balyayoga® method is a modern approach to yoga for children, to lovingly accompany them in the wonderful growing yoga path. It is a level of yoga tailor-made for children, intentionally different from that for adults, and born with the intent of introducing children aged 3 to 13 to the world of yoga through play and creativity; it is conceived, designed and built in compliance with the physiological and mental characteristics of kids.

The word Balyayoga® comes from Sanskrit Balya, which means “for children”, but also from the word “nurse”, that person who takes care of the kids, feeding them with love.

Yoga for children, according to Balyayoga® is a playful journey which leads the child to explore his/her own self, awakens each own physical, psychic and inner potential. Yoga offers children an effective tool to get to know themselves, reclaim their own spaces and have an ever greater experience of their emotions, exploring their inner world.

Yoga, for me, is meeting myself daily, living life in deep harmony with my inner centre and my inner peace.

Awareness

Through the dimension of enjoyment, the new concepts’ assimilation is facilitated, creativity development and freedom of expression are stimulated, it guides the child to get in contact with all universe creatures in a loving way, it strengthens the indissoluble bond between mind and body, between cognition and emotion, it stimulates curiosity, intuition, rational and emotional intelligence, it goes along with the child to play using his/her natural predilection, encouraging learning.

The teacher

She goes along with the child on a growth journey, while remaining one step behind, to allow him/her to be the true and only protagonist of this adventure;
– She stands as an example of character strength , altruism, to serve as a role model for children; she is positive, cheerful and proactive and conveys these values through patience and smiling;
– She speaks from the heart to reach the children’s hearts.
– She regularly practices yoga and meditation, aware that only those who practice sincerely can teach others to do the same.

Knowing yourself

The CHILD is at the centre of this world, with his/her own identity, his/her own way of being and doing;
acquires mastery and observations of one’s body, one’s emotions and one’s self; through an integral approach aimed at development, it can grow harmoniously and fully develop all its potential;
• thanks to specific skills mastery, she/he summarizes to increase self-esteem;
• He/She has fun and learns while having fun.

Neoumanist education

The child is like a diamond with thousand facets, only by restoring light to every single face, the diamond will be able to shine in all its splendour.
Balyayoga® is inspired by the Neohumanist education system based on P.R. Sarkar Neohumanist vision. Neohumanist education is based on a vision of the child as a Person in development, towards an integral and integrated Self, the aim is to form a holistic identity, in which the physical, psychic, emotional and spiritual components combine together in a unique wholeness, allowing the child to raise her / his own potentials.

Living the dream…

Thanks to my Yoga journey ,I realized that yoga is like a torch, it’s able to brighten my life path and rediscover in me the confidence to face it. I call Yoga “the stonecutter of the soul ”, a way to connect with my true inner essence.
